Post: Part time SEN Teaching Assistant (16 hours per week).  Immediate start (or as soon as possible)

Salary:  Band D - £16781/£17772 (pro rata £6279/ £6650)

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our hard working team at High Greave Infant school. The post is to support a child with an EHCP within Key Stage One (Year 2) for the above hours. Ideally we are looking to distribute this support evenly across each day of the week. However, this could be discussed.

These hours are specific to one pupil and therefore are dependent on the pupil remaining in our school.


The successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • - Supporting the learning and development of a child with SEND within KS1.  Please contact school for           further details.
  • - Contributing to the Individual Learning Plan and working with the child to achieve targets on the plan.
  • - Promoting the school’s LEARNERs code
  • - Contributing to the class teacher’s ongoing assessments


You will be: 

  • - Able to demonstrate some experience of working in a similar role
  • - Willing to participate in relevant training
  • - Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible
  • - Able to build good relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • - Able to work in partnership with class teachers
  • - Expected to contribute towards the smooth running of the classroom
  •  - Able to act as a positive role model for pupils and colleagues
  •  - Be able to contribute to the positive ethos of the school
