About this Role

We are looking for a dynamic candidate who will be able to manage an effective and efficiently run school, inspire high standards for teaching and learning and be able to support and challenge colleagues at all levels.

As headteacher of Brookfield Primary School, you will be part of the LEARNERs’ Trust, a large MAT operating across, Derby, Derbyshire and Rotherham. The trust is a close community of schools that collaborate at every level to support the achievement of pupils and staff.

‘Brookfield Primary School is a popular, vibrant and thriving school situated at the heart of its community. The school was rated good at its last Ofsted inspection. It provides a broad and varied curriculum offering all children rich opportunities to enjoy learning and to achieve the best they can. It is firmly grounded in WARM values. Its ethos is Welcoming, Achieving, Respectful and Magical. A high emphasis is placed on personal, social and health education.

Brookfield is situated in a pleasant and attractive environment. It benefits from a supportive and active PTFA, a Parent Forum and parents who are involved in school life. It is characterised by successful outcomes for students both academically and socially.’

  • Our first job is to support and extend learning for pupils to provide them with the skills and knowledge to make those choices.

  • Our responsibility to education is to provide an environment where practitioners can collaborate, learn from each other, take risks and reflect.
